SB 80 (Wieckowski) California Environmental Quality Act: notices.
Requires a lead agency to post notices related to application of CEQA on the agency’s web site. The bill would also require the agency to offer to provide those notices by email. In addition, under current law, if a lead agency determines that a project is not subject CEQA and the agency approves the project, the lead agency has discretion whether or not to file a notice of determination with either OPR (state agencies) or the county clerk (local agencies). This bill would instead require the filing of the notice.
Although this bill mandates a new local service, it is not reimbursable because the cost is recoverable through fees.
